Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the U.S., is scheduled to release its financial results after the close of trading on the 30th (local time), but it is expected that its third-quarter sales will decline.
On the 29th (local time), CoinDesk reported that multiple analysts have forecast that Coinbase will see a decline in third-quarter revenue due to a decline in spot trading volume.
In a report, investment bank Barclays said, "Coinbase's trading volume has been declining throughout the quarter," and "we expect a decline in revenue from retail trading in particular."
In addition, JP Morgan said, "In addition to a decline in trading fees, which are Coinbase's main source of revenue, we expect revenue from staking services to also decline."
"This is the result of three quarters of Ethereum prices being sluggish," he said.
