Taekwondo coach ”assaults” student with blunt object after ”losing in randori practice” (South Korea)

The coach of the taekwondo club at a high school in Jeju, South Korea, has been charged with assaulting students with a blunt object and is currently under investigation.
On the 31st, the Jeju Dongbu Police Station said, "We have arrested the suspect for assaulting Taekwondo students with a blunt object (violating the Child Welfare Act)."
"We are investigating and charging A, the coach of a high school taekwondo club in Jeju, with a special assault," the police said. Suspect A had students practice randori between the 14th and 19th of this month, and then assaulted two students.
The coach then forced the students into a push-up position and hit them on the thighs with a blunt object. The parents of the students who were victims reported the coach to the police after confirming the physical punishment.
Police are currently investigating the details of the incident.
