The letter included complaints about the injustice of the prosecution's investigation into the charges of violating the Public Offices Election Act (15th) and instigating perjury (25th).
They are also planning a rally in front of the Seoul Central District Court. The Democratic Party lawmakers have launched a public opinion battle using social media. They posted slogans like, 'Evidence tampering! Political indictment!' on their own social media accounts.

Within the People Power (ruling party) camp, there has been criticism that Democratic Party lawmakers are only focused on defending Chairman Lee's judicial risk.
In a statement posted on his social media account the day before, Kwon Seong-dong, a member of the People's Power Party, said, "Right now, Chairman Lee has completed his one-man rule, like the Tsar of Imperial Russia. I am advocating for Chairman Lee's innocence.
