On the same day, Mr. Zhao also met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs Izumi Nakamitsu, and exchanged views on the North Korea issue, military cooperation between North Korea and Russia, and the current state of international nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
Mr. Cho said the dispatch of North Korean troops to Russia, following recent military cooperation between North Korea and Russia, is a clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions and a grave threat to peace and security on the Korean peninsula and the world as a whole.
"The United Nations has been working closely with the UN since 2013 to resolve the issue of nuclear weapons and other issues, and has been working with the UN since 2015," he said.
