ADOR files civil lawsuit against Shin Woo-seok, director of ”New Jeans” music video: ”I have no personal feelings about it, but I regret the criminal charges”
ADOR has filed a civil lawsuit against Shin Woo-seok, the director of the dolphin kidnapping group who directed the music videos for NewJeans' "ETA" and "Ditto."
According to a media report on the 8th, on the 4th, Director Shin Woo-seok met with ADOR CEO Kim Juyeon, HYBE's CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer), and Vice President Lee Do-kyung.
The company has filed a lawsuit against Pyo for allegedly violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Protection of Information (defamation). In response, an ADOR representative said, "ADOR is in good standing with NewJeans.
I have no personal feelings towards director Shin Woo-seok, who created this work. However, I cannot tolerate any violation of the contract with ADOR or any acts that infringe on ADOR's intellectual property rights, so I have decided to
Two months ago, we filed a civil lawsuit against the Dolphin Kidnapping Group and director Shin Woo-suk, alleging breach of contract and damages for tort."
"Director Shin Woo-seok has not responded to the civil lawsuit, but has instead filed a groundless lawsuit against ADOR management.
"I am extremely sorry that I filed a criminal complaint," he added. After Min Hee Jin was fired as CEO of ADOR, director Shin Woo Seok was forced to accept the change in ADOR's management and policies.
The lawsuit claims that ADOR has demanded the removal of footage of NewJeans' work, including footage from the YouTube channel Bang Hee-soo.
However, ADOR said it had only requested the removal of the director's cut footage of "ETA," which was published without consultation with advertisers, and that Shin's claims were false.
In response, they pointed out that uploading footage containing NewJeans' IP address to the Dolphin Kidnapping Gang's channel without ADOR's approval was a clear violation of the business agreement.
In response, Director Shin said, "All the content and channels we uploaded were agreed upon. They will not disappear just because the management has changed."
"We will submit or release the recordings, emails, and documents we have in our possession as necessary, and will sue CEO Kim Juyeon and Vice CEO Lee Do Kyung for defamation," the company said in a statement.
The complaint was filed on the same day.
