Han told reporters after the People Power and Yoon Seok-yeol government joint report on the first half of the national government's performance and future issues discussion held at the National Assembly that afternoon,
"So you're saying that the special investigation bill has removed the toxic clauses that the People Power Party is calling for," he said in response to a question. This shows his critical view of the amendment to the special investigation bill that the Democratic Party of Korea plans to submit.
Prior to this, Representative Han emphasized the achievements of the Yoon Seok-Yeol administration at a forum. Representative Han spoke about the normalization of Japan-Korea relations, the firm response to the cargo solidarity strike, the order for the Czech nuclear power plant, and medical reform.
Han cited these as major achievements. He mentioned that the ruling and opposition parties, the medical community, and the government held their first meeting that morning, saying, "Many people have said that medical reform is necessary, but
"Nobody has ever dared to think about it. It's difficult. We've been watching it for months, almost a year, and we know why," he said. "Today, on the morning of the day of this debate, the ruling party and the opposition parties
"It is significant that the medical policy consultative body has begun operations. We will bring it to fruition, and the party and the government should work together to bring medical reform to fruition," he said.
Han said, "There are many things to criticize (about the party). However, the party is changing and reforming itself in line with the will of the people.
By doing so, we will help the (Yun Seok-yeol) government remain a successful government. We must prevent sedition and criminal forces, which are the ones who divide historical figures together.
"There may be some people who find this inconvenient, but there is only one goal: to prevent an immoral government and protect this country. To achieve this, we must bring about change and renewal," he said.
Han also mentioned President Yoon Seok-yeol's speech to the nation on the 7th, saying, "Some people feel that the president's past speeches are lacking, but (President Yoon) calls for change and renewal.
I will work together with the government, support the government when necessary, and criticize the government when necessary, but I also want to work together with the government to make changes and reforms, and to move forward on the path to victory in the remaining two and a half years.
"We will do our best," he emphasized.
