However, on the day of the incident, Mr. A suddenly opened the curtains, which startled another customer who was receiving a massage, and he warned Mr. A not to take a video.
The store owner pushed Mr. A, who was taking pictures with his mobile phone at the time, and Mr. A grabbed the store owner's arm and fell to the floor, dislocating his shoulder. A Korean male acquaintance of the store owner also assaulted Mr. A.
A revealed that he was dragged to the hospital and suffered a broken nose. A continued streaming live despite the incident, and only stopped streaming after the police arrived.
Recently, in Thailand, there has been a growing problem with Korean male YouTubers and others making inappropriate broadcasts.
Criticism of the misconduct of Korean men has been reported by local media. Last month, a Korean illegal drug offender who was arrested in Thailand broadcast live streams from his police car and detention center, and questioned the police.
In March of last year, a Korean man approached a Thai woman on the street and took her picture without her consent, drawing criticism. In response, the Korean Embassy in Thailand said, "Taking pictures without consent is a personal matter.
"There is a possibility that he will be punished in Thailand for violating privacy and portrait rights," he said, urging people to "be especially careful not to damage the country's dignity through such a shameful incident."
However, after a controversy arose over a man in his 20s who livestreamed himself engaging in inappropriate acts with a Thai woman, he was given a six-month prison sentence with two years of probation in the first instance in a South Korean court.
