Artists from CJ ENM's Japanese labels LAPONE Entertainment and LAPONE GIRLS Entertainment, ‘JO1’ and ‘ME:I’, received awards at the ‘2024 Korea Grand Music The ‘2024 Korea Grand Music Awards’ (hereafter referred to as ‘2024 KGMA’) were held at the Incheon Inspire Arena in South Korea on the 17th.
The ‘2024 KGMA’ is a new popular music awards ceremony organised by Nikkan Sports, and among the diverse artists who showed remarkable achievements during the year, the ‘K-POP Overseas Artist Award’ was presented to a group of international artists based on K-POP who have attracted worldwide attention, and the ‘2024 KGMA Award for Global New Artist’ was presented to a group of international artists who have shown outstanding achievements. JO1, which is expanding its fan base across the globe, won the ‘K-Pop Overseas Artist Award’, while ME:I, which was recognised for its outstanding performance this year, won the ‘K-Pop Overseas Rookie Award’, recognising their global influence.
The awards received by both groups reaffirmed their active activities and global popularity beyond Korea and Japan. Expectations are high for the future activities of ‘JO1’ and ‘ME:I’, who continue to set new records one after another.
