Kia Motors unveils car model made from recycled and natural materials such as apple peels (South Korea)

Kia Motors has created a test model "EV3 Study Car" using eco-friendly materials to present a vision for the next generation of eco-friendly cars.
" This model, which was produced and supervised by the Basic Materials Research Center at the Hyundai-Kia Motors AVP Headquarters, is based on the existing sports utility vehicle (SUV) "EV3".
This technology replaces some of the plastic products used in the manufacturing process with recycled plastics and bio-based materials. A total of 22 types of recycling and natural material technologies have been developed.
The technology will be applied to 69 major parts of the EV3. The EV3 study car uses a method of recycling plastics recovered from scrapped cars. The recycled plastics are now used for bumpers, doors, and other parts.
The company has also used natural materials such as "Apple Skin," made from discarded apple skins, for its interior materials. Apple Skin is a powder made from discarded apple skins that can be used as a substitute for leather products.
The steering wheel is made of eco-friendly material, and the roof and garnish are made of natural fiber reinforced composite material (NFR) made of natural fibers and biopolymers.
