Daegu Mayor Hong Jun-pyo to People's Power Representative Han Dong-hoon: ”Politics learned from deception will not last long” (Korea)

On the 18th, Daegu Mayor Hong Jun-pyo took aim at People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon, criticizing him, saying, "Politics that learns trickery first will not last long."
Mayor Hong wrote on his blog that day, "Politics should be done with integrity. I am against the despicable people who talk behind my back and whose family and close associates write slanderous comments on party member message boards under the pretext that I am a party member.

Mayor Hong said, "In the political world where intrigue and schemes are rampant, it is only by being confident that one can stand up and act with dignity.
"The approval rating of the People's Power Party has dropped considerably, and is noticeably lower than that of the corrupt Democratic Party of Korea," he continued, arguing with Han.
"The strange phenomenon of low wages continues. We must change the party that is blinded by military politics," he said. Mayor Hong also met with reporters at Daegu City Hall on the same day and said of the People's Power, "Together,
"A party that only wants the Democratic Party's presidential candidate to be crushed by the court is not normal," he said. "This country is obsessed with the Kim Gun-Hee Special Prosecutor's Law.
"It's already been a year since the incident. The entire country has been engrossed in investigations and trials, and two years have passed since then. It is not a normal country for the entire country to be tainted by investigations and trials," he said.
Regarding the rumor that he will be included in the upcoming cabinet reshuffle, he said, "I haven't heard anything about it. I have work to do in Daegu and I have to finish it.
"We must do this," he said.
