On the same day, Prime Minister Modi posted on Twitter (formerly Twitter) "I was delighted to have the opportunity to interact with South Korean President Yoon during the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro," along with a photo of the two leaders shaking hands.
President Yoon said, "I was pleased to meet the Prime Minister again at the G20 summit in Rio. I look forward to continuing to develop the expanding partnership between our two countries next year."
Although the two leaders did not hold separate bilateral talks during this summit, they are considered to have met again through their participation in the session.
Prime Minister Modi was elected for a third term in this year's general election and has begun another five-year term.
The two countries held summit meetings at the G7 Summit held in Hiroshima in May last year, and at the G20 Summit held in New Delhi in September of the same year.
