According to legal circles on the 20th, Park Yuchun's former manager A submitted a notice of appeal to the 14th Department of Civil Agreement of the Eastern Seoul Branch of the Seoul Metropolitan Court after losing a lawsuit for damages on the 14th of this month.
On the 30th November, the 14th Civil Agreement Division of the Eastern Seoul District Court ruled in the plaintiff's favour in the damages lawsuit filed by Mr A, Park Yuchun's former manager, against Park Yuchun.
Mr A was Park Yuchun's manager when he was active as JYJ, and he and Park Yuchun had shared many hardships, such as setting up a new planning company. He was with Park Yuchun when his contract with his former agency was terminated due to drug disputes, etc. In 2021, Park Yuchun filed a lawsuit for damages, claiming that the settlement of earnings was not made properly.
Mr A refuted this and claimed that Park Yuchun signed a double contract with a Japanese entertainment agency and diverted the money to entertainment expenses with his corporate card. Mr A filed a civil complaint against Park Yuchun, claiming damages in the order of 600 million won.
However, the court ruled that there was no reason for Park Yuchun to pay 600 million won to Mr A. Mr A applied for a provisional injunction prohibiting the resolution to dismiss the representative of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, which was also dismissed.
Mr A lost the lawsuit, but he filed a notice of appeal and the court battle is expected to continue again, with Mr A claiming that he suffered damages of 600 million won as the representative of the planning company.
In the meantime, Park Yuchun will release a mini-album and hold a performance ‘PARK YUCHUN 2024 X-mastour’ in Japan on the 18th December. Before the performance, Park Yuchun was put in a difficult position due to Mr A's appeal.
