Auditions are being held to find a new trot (Korean enka) star who will perform in both Japan and Korea.
Grain Entertainment, a major record label, announced on the 21st that it will be holding auditions to select trot stars (solo and group members) who will be active in both Korea and Japan, starting today.
nCH Entertainment and Grain Entertainment recently announced on their official SNS accounts, "NEW TROT STAR
According to the poster, audition applications will be accepted from the 21st until December 31st.
Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and 32, and anyone born between 1992 and 2010 can participate, regardless of gender or nationality.
nCH Entertainment has a group called "n.SSign" that is attracting attention as the next generation of global leaders.
The group includes members of "TROT GIRLS JAPAN," which promotes Korean trot in both Japan and Korea, and "n.SSign" is active in Japan through nCH's Japanese branch.
Grain Entertainment, a trot label under nCH Entertainment, has many artists including "Trot Prince" Shin Yu, "Gugak Trot Fairy"
Its members include Kim Dahyun, who was the first MVP of MBN's "Korean-Japanese Music Competition," as well as Kim Jihyeon and Jang Taehee, who are loved for their singing skills cultivated through traditional Korean music.
In particular, Jeong Chang-hwan, CEO of nCH Entertainment, is the leading figure in building the Korean trot wave in Japan and the founder of the Japanese Trot Audition, which played a part in the "Korean-Japanese Music Championship."
He is currently leading the trot boom in Japan with the success of the TV program "TROT GIRLS JAPAN," and the new audition he is conducting is expected to attract even more attention from people.
