韓国の女子大で「男女共学」転換が問題に…学校側「暫定中断」・生徒側「本館占拠を維持」
”NNGH” conversion causes problems at South Korean women's university... School side ”temporarily suspends” while students ”maintain occupancy of main building”
As students at Dongduk Women's University in South Korea launch collective actions in opposition to the "conversion to NNGH," the school administration met with the student council to "temporarily end" the discussion on the conversion to NNGH.
On the 21st, Dongduk Women's University said, "After a three-hour meeting with the student council starting at 11 a.m., we decided to temporarily halt discussions on converting to NNGH, and to hold discussions with students when future discussions begin.
Prior to this, the Student Council announced at a general meeting on the 20th that 1,971 out of 1,973 students (99.9%) were opposed to the conversion to NNGH.
As a result of this discussion, the conversion to NNGH was temporarily suspended, and the students decided to lift the closure of lecture rooms and resume classes.
However, the students said, "We will continue to occupy the main building because the discussion of switching to a coeducational school has not been completely withdrawn."
This is the position we take.
