Boy group WayV will be making a comeback with their new album "FREQUENCY."
Today (25th) at 6 pm (Japan time), WayV's 6th mini album "
The Korean version of the title song "FREQUENCY" will be released on various music sites, and the Korean version will be released on SMTOWN's YouTube channel.
The music video (MV) will also be released at the same time. This album includes the Korean and Chinese versions of the title song "FREQUENCY" and the preview of "HIGH
It is made up of six songs with a variety of atmospheres, including "FIVE", "TWIST", "Filthy Rich" and "Call Me", and will take you into the new musical world of "WayV".
The title song "FREQUENCY" is an old school hip-hop dance song with a solid bass and a strong drum beat, and is a boom-bap rhyme.
The song has an addictive hook and a unique rap synergy, and the lyrics contain the message, "Let's go with a new generation that matches our frequency," so it is expected to receive a positive response.
In addition, WayV will release their 5th mini album "Give Me That," which was ranked No. 1 on the Music Program chart for the first time this year, and will embark on their first solo concert tour that will run until February next year.

Q. This is your first comeback in about five months since your fifth mini-album "Give Me That" was released in June. How do you feel?
Ten: We are making a comeback with a new concept and we are both nervous and excited.
I love all the songs on this album, so I'm sure WayZenNi (the name of our official fan club and the name of our fans) will be 100% happy.
"WayV" will touch the hearts of all WayZenNi members! Hendry: This album includes songs in various languages, including Korean, Chinese, and English.
Xiaojun: In this album, we have two songs, "FREQUEN" by WayV and WayZenNi, so I think fans from many parts of the world will be pleased.
Q. The title song "FREQUENCY" is a continuation of the funky charm of the previous album "Give Me Back."
It's a song with a different atmosphere from "That". What did you think when you first heard "FREQUENCY"? I'm also curious about what the highlights of "FREQUENCY" are.
Kun: It's a song that I've been interested in since the first time I heard it because I think it would be even cooler if we performed it with choreography.
I got in. I think the key point of the song is the "Plulululu" sound that comes before the chorus, which sounds like a phone ringtone. Yangyang: "Give Me
It has a different feel from "That" and is an old school hip hop song that we've never done before, so we were worried about whether we could express it well.
When I listened to the finished song, I liked it, and many people around me liked it too. Ten: I think WayV's simple yet varied rap tones are impressive.
The rhythm and beat are great, so it's a good song to just listen to the instrumental version. And I think WayZenNi will love the sweet free chorus part that Kun sings!
Q. What song on this album would you recommend people to listen to? Kun: I like R&B songs, so I recommend "Filthy Rich."
I thought it was a song that suited us well. Ten: It's "Call Me." When I'm alone and I listen to this song, it feels like someone is calling my name and I need someone.
(laughs) I hope WayZenNi feels the same way I do when listening to this song.
Xiaojun: For me it's "TWIST". I like the arrangement style of "TWIST".
Hendry: "Call Me" is an easy listening song, so it makes me feel good when I'm driving or listening to it before going to bed.
I think it will be. Yangyang: There is a reggae-toned rap in "Filthy Rich," and I remember it being fun to record. It was the first time we tried it.
It's a song with a different style, so it was a new challenge for me, and I like how the results came out well. Q. Were there any interesting stories from working on this album?
Yanyan: I think it will be shown in the behind-the-scenes footage of the recording later, but it's me and Hendry.
I recorded the "Plulululu" part from "FREQUENCY". I had a lot of fun doing it, and the fans loved it too.
I think you'll be happy if you watch it. Also, during recording, the vocalist tried rapping, and I remember it suited him really well.
Xiaojun: The concept of the "FREQUENCY" music video is that each of us has a special ability, but we'll add CG later.
It was a little awkward during the shoot (laughs). But it was still fun. Hendry: We appear in the music video wearing unique accessories.
It was a little difficult to express the concept, but all the members did a good job. Kun: I was impressed by the members' acting while filming this music video.
I thought it was very good. I had to act while thinking about the image in my head, but I think everyone was better than I expected. And the teaser image and
The jacket image is a style we've never done before, but I think it came out well. Q. You've been very active globally, with your first solo concert tour this year and your Japanese debut.
Is there anything that you remember most from your activities? Yangyang: The concert tour is the most memorable. I was so happy to finally be able to hold our first concert.
I was also really happy to be able to give back to the fans who had been waiting for me. This was the first time I cried during a performance. I was also happy about my Japanese debut.
It was strange to sing a Japanese song in front of WayZenNi, and it felt like another challenge. I've come to like WayZenNi in Japan a lot, and I've been learning a lot of Japanese.
Kun: I also had a concert. I had to play the piano on stage, and at first I was so nervous that my hands were shaking as I played. As the concert went on,
I've gotten used to it, and now I can do it more sweetly and perfectly. Hendry: I remember Xiaojun on the stage of the concert "Love Talk". We were in the cage.
The stage has a sexy atmosphere, but when Xiaojun comes on stage, the reaction of the fans is the hottest. Ten: Xiaojun's video is spreading everywhere, and the fans all over the world are
