2PM's Wooyoung to be MC of first exclusive variety show ”Nation's Request”...Nation's request voting begins on the 29th!

The contents production company ‘ootb’ will launch the first ever R&D variety show ‘National Request (tentative title)’ in a blitz.

‘National Request’ is a new-concept variety programme that depicts the process of receiving requests to develop items desired by the public and actually developing and launching new products in cooperation with companies.

Each episode is a large-scale project in which numerous product ideas for specific items are received through citizen interviews and communicated to companies, which then decide on the candidates that can actually be developed, and finally select and actually launch the ‘public-requested product’ through a public vote. As it takes a lot of time to reflect the public's opinions and develop the product, it is scheduled to be released in January 2025.

The programme will be hosted by Woo-young of 2PM, a member of one of Korea's leading boy groups and a variety sensation. Wooyoung, who will be making his first solo variety show since his debut, has expressed his excitement and anticipation, saying that he is familiar with the various contents presented by ‘ootb’.

When he heard that communication with the viewers was an important concept, Wooyoung expressed his special determination, saying, "If I'm going to do this anyway, I have to listen carefully to the public's opinions and prepare for it."

The trailer for ‘ootb’, which was first released on the 27th, shows the first meeting between Wooyoung and the production team, as well as Wooyoung's request to a company for actual product development. After listening to the production team's explanation and fully understanding the programme's planning intentions, Wooyoung declares, "I am the servant of the people’ and immerses himself in the concept of ‘National Request (tentative title)."

The new variety show ‘National Request (tentative title)’ is scheduled to launch its first national request poll on the 29th of this month through the ‘ootb STUDIO’ YouTube channel community, and the main episode, which details the request and development process of various national items, will be premiered in January 2025.
