Production and management of Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises continues to recover in October - Chinese report

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, production and operations at Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises saw a sustained recovery in October, and the steady expansion of the trade market has provided a solid foundation for development.
In the first 10 months of this year, the added value of small and medium-sized industrial enterprises above a certain size increased by 7.0% compared to the same period last year. Of the 41 industries, 39 maintained an increase, indicating a stable industrial economy.
The small and medium-sized enterprises production index for October was 50.7, exceeding the 50 mark that separates economic expansion from contraction for the sixth consecutive month.
In the domestic market, sales of clothing, food, furniture, and home appliances increased significantly in October. Small and medium-sized enterprises are also expanding overseas.
The export index for small and medium-sized enterprises rose 0.3 percentage points from the previous month to 51.9, remaining above 50 for the seventh consecutive month. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will continue to provide support to small and medium-sized enterprises through measures to improve the soundness of the public service system.
The government plans to promote streamlining, increased lending, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
