China's social logistics total for January-October 2020 was 287.8 trillion yen... up 5.7% year-on-year - Chinese report

The China Logistics Purchasing Federation recently released logistics operation data for January to October of this year. According to the published data, the total social logistics volume nationwide in January to October increased by 5.7% year-on-year to 28.
The total amount of social logistics in Japan rose 5.7% year-on-year to 7.8 trillion yen (approximately 6000 trillion yen). The growth rate increased 0.1 percentage points from January to September. In addition, the total amount of social logistics in Japan rose 5.7% year-on-year to 7.8 trillion yen (approximately 6000 trillion yen) in October.
The total logistics value of industrial products has been steadily growing, with over 80% of regions and industries posting increases in their total logistics value. In particular, the total logistics value of the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 6.6% year-on-year.
In terms of consumption-related logistics, the total amount of goods transported by affiliates and residents in January-October increased by 8% compared to the same period last year. The growth rate was 0.4 percentage points higher than in January-September.
Consumer demand for both lines is growing slightly. Logistics services are being continuously upgraded, resulting in increased volumes and improved quality. Total logistics industry revenue in January-October increased 3.8% year-on-year.
The growth rate was 0.1 percentage point higher than in the first nine months of the year. The basic services sector, including rail and road transport and cargo handling and transportation, continued to operate stably, and the October business growth rate was 11.3 trillion yen (approximately 234 trillion yen).
In terms of air freight transport, 18 new international freight routes were opened across China in October, adding more than 30 round-trip flights per week.
Transportation volume increased 19.9% compared to the same month last year.
