Former President Moon's daughter sent to prosecutors on charges of ”illegal lodging business” - South Korea
On the 29th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul, South Korea, announced that the daughter of former President Moon Jae-in, who was under investigation for suspicion of operating an illegal lodging business, Moon Da-hye, was not detained by the prosecution.
Moon was accused of using his own officetel (combined office and residence) and villa in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul as lodgings without obtaining a business permit.
The police filed charges against Moon in response to a request for investigation from Yeongdeungpo-gu and a complaint from a civic group. On the 23rd of this month, they invited Moon privately and stayed overnight.
In the process, police have been investigating Moon's details, such as the period during which he operated the business.
