Will ”former BIGBANG” TOP retract his retirement again after ”Squid Game 2”? ... Hinting at solo comeback next year

TOP, a former member of the Korean group BIGBANG, is attracting attention by hinting at a comeback as a solo singer next year as he prepares to return to acting in "Squid Game 2."
On the 29th (today), TOP promoted the upcoming wine on his personal SNS. After seeing the post, a fan commented, "DOOM DADA 2.0
WHEN?', to which TOP responded with a short "2025."
"DADA" is TOP's second solo single released in 2013.
He teased that the second installment of "DADA" will be released next year, hinting at his return as a solo artist. However, he wants to return to "BIGBANG".
There was no particular reaction to the comment. TOP debuted as a member of "BIGBANG" in 2006 and released his first solo song in 2010.
In 2017, he was sentenced to 10 months in prison with two years of probation for using marijuana four times. T.O.P., who was in the military at the time, was found unfit to serve in the police force after a review and was released.
After completing his mandatory military service as a civil servant, he was discharged in July 2019. After that, he said on LIVE STREAM that he would not make a comeback in Korea, effectively announcing his retirement from the Korean entertainment industry.
In June 2023, TOP also left BIGBANG and subsequently took action such as deleting his BIGBANG activity history from his profile.
Meanwhile, news broke that he would be appearing in the popular Netflix series "Squid Game 2." TOP, who had announced his retirement, has reversed his decision and is set to return as an actor.
This fact led to a flood of criticism, and perhaps due to awareness of public opinion, the company announced that it would not be attending the production presentation for "Squid Game 2" to be held on December 9th.
Amidst such a chilly response, TOP has once again announced his comeback to his main job.
There is much interest in whether he will reverse his retirement and return as a solo artist.
