Boya Interactive International, a Hong Kong-based holding company specializing in online card and board games
International converted Ethereum to Bitcoin and adjusted its financial asset structure.
In a statement on November 29, Boya said he had 10,000 Ethereum coins worth approximately $49 million (approximately 7.359 billion yen).
He revealed that he had exchanged 4,200 Bitcoins for 515 Bitcoins between November 19 and November 28. With the latest transaction, Boya's Bitcoin holdings have increased from 2,635 as of the end of September.
The total number of Bitcoins purchased increased to 3,183, which is equivalent to approximately $310.7 million at current prices. Boya said in a statement that "purchasing, holding and expanding Bitcoin holdings is a milestone in our efforts to become a global leader in the cryptocurrency space."
"Having considered the future prospects for Bitcoin and Ethereum and the Company's strategic plans, the Board has decided to convert the Group's holdings of Ethereum into Bitcoin," he said.
"We have decided that now is the right time to convert to Bitcoin and expand our Bitcoin holdings," the company said in its third-quarter financial report released on November 21.
The company revealed that it holds 10,000 Ethereum coins and 15,388 Ethereum coins. Boya first introduced its cryptocurrency asset strategy in November 2023, when its board of directors announced it had secured $100 million in corporate funding.
The plan to distribute $45 million in Bitcoin, $45 million in Ethereum, and $10 million in stablecoins such as Tether (USDT) and USDC (USDT) has been approved.
