Mt. Gox moves $2.4 billion worth of BTC as Bitcoin hits $100,000

Mt. Gox, a cryptocurrency exchange that was in a state of bankruptcy, sent out Bitcoin shortly after the cryptocurrency surpassed $100,000 (approximately 14.98 million yen).

According to the Bitcoin Intelligence report, Mt. Gox posted a cryptocurrency "1N7j" at 2:45 a.m. (UTC) on the same day.
The report said that 24,051 BTC was transferred to an address starting on November 12th. This amounts to approximately $2.47 billion (approximately 370.3 billion yen).
At 3:08 a.m., less than 30 minutes after the transfer was made, Bitcoin surged to $104,000 on the Coinbase exchange, according to NG View.
It is unclear why Mt. Gox, which went bankrupt in early 2014, moved some of its assets this time, but bankrupt exchanges have previously paid their assets to creditors.
There have been cases where people have made advance payments beforehand.
