China's services trade, total imports and exports in January-October up 14.6% year-on-year: Chinese report
According to the Ministry of Commerce of China, China's trade in services in the first 10 months of this year continued to grow rapidly, with total service imports and exports increasing 14.6% year-on-year to 6.12558 trillion yen (approximately 126.6 trillion yen).
Of this, exports increased by 16.6% to 2,544,910 million formers (approximately 52,600 billion yen), and imports increased by 13.2% to 3,580,670 million formers (approximately 74,000 billion yen).
The services trade balance was a deficit of 1.3576 trillion former (approximately 21.4 trillion yen). The characteristics of services trade during the same period are as follows:
Trade in knowledge-intensive services continued to grow. Exports and imports of knowledge-intensive services in the first 10 months of the year increased 5.9% to 2.3616 trillion yen.
30 billion former (approximately 48.8 trillion yen). Of this, exports increased by 5.7% to 1,341,730 million former (approximately 27.7 trillion yen). By sector, personal culture and entertainment services increased by 38.
Imports increased by 6.1% to 1.199 trillion yen (about 21 trillion yen). By sector, personal culture and entertainment services increased by 1.199 trillion yen (about 21 trillion yen).
Trade in travel services also showed a high growth rate. The value of trade in travel services for January-October increased 41.2% year-on-year.
The increase was 1,670,940 million former (approximately 34.5 trillion yen). Travel services accounted for the largest proportion of the total trade in services.
