Seoul city council member: ”The attempt to impeach President Yoon is a 'civil war'” ... ”Representative Lee Jae-myung accused of 'civil war'” = South Korea

Lee Jung-bae, a member of the ruling People Power Party and a member of the Seoul City Council, said, "We will indict Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, on charges of treason and other crimes."
On the 5th of this month, Rep. Lee announced on social media that he would "file charges against Representative Lee on charges of treason, obstruction of public duties, and abuse of power and obstruction of the exercise of rights by the 6th."
Rep. Lee said, "The Democratic Party (North Korea) is saying that declaring martial law is a civil war, but the attempt to impeach the president is clearly a civil war."
"It is a coup d'état," he said, "and the impeachment proceedings amid a rapidly changing international situation and a severe national security crisis constitute a 'riot with the intent of upsetting the national constitution' under the Criminal Code, and constitute the crime of treason."
Regarding the opposition party's attempt to impeach, he said, "They are trying to paralyze the president's administration and ultimately oust him in order to protect one person, Lee."
"They're making a lot of strange, sophistry-filled claims, but there's nothing that actually applies," he said.
