South Korean military prosecutors file emergency departure ban request for 10 active-duty soldiers accused of treason

On the 6th, the South Korean military prosecutors applied for an emergency departure ban for 10 active duty soldiers in connection with the state of emergency on December 3rd. The Defense Ministry prosecutors' team said on the same day, "They were accused of treason in connection with the state of emergency.
The people targeted for the emergency departure ban include former martial law commander Park, who has been accused of treason and other crimes.
The list includes Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ans, the Commander of Counterintelligence, the Commander of the Capital Defense Force, the Commander of the Special Forces, as well as three airborne brigade commanders and three colonel-rank commanders whose troops have been confirmed to be deployed.
The Defense Ministry's prosecutors' team said, "The military prosecutors' office will actively cooperate with the investigation by sending personnel to the special investigation headquarters."
