“俳優ユ・アインと薬物使用”YouTuberのHairmon、「大麻の強要で喫煙するふりをした…叱責を甘んじて受ける」立場表明
YouTuber Hairmon, who was caught using drugs with actor Yu A In, has stated, ”I pretended to smoke marijuana when he was forced to do so... I will accept the criticism”
YouTuber Hairmon (real name: Kim Woo Joo), who was tried and fined for allegedly using drugs with actor Yu A In, has spoken out directly.
On the 6th, Hairmon posted a handwritten apology on his SNS, stating, "In a situation where a lot of speculation is flying around, I wanted to speak directly as soon as possible, but in an environment where the investigation process is clear,
"I decided to give this late explanation in order to cooperate and allow the case to proceed smoothly," he said.
"I was investigated for marijuana smoking in 2023. As a result, as reported in the media, my marijuana smoking began due to continued demands despite my refusal.
After that, the National Forensic Service's detailed examination revealed that the marijuana he had put in his mouth was just two bites to pretend to have smoked it.
"The investigation and the courts have found that he was solicited by a third party and that he was a habitual smoker," Hairmon said.
"However, regardless of the situation, this was the result of my not being able to handle it wisely.
Knowing this clearly, I have reflected on all my mistakes, completed my education, and paid all my fines without any overdue payments. I have never used drugs in my life, and I will never do so in the future.
They also explained why they continued posting the video and promoting after the controversy. Hairmon said, "Many people were confused," and "I was suddenly arrested.
However, the investigative agency stated that suspending the channel's operation would cause confusion in the investigation of other related cases, and
"I asked them to continue running the channel as usual. It was a difficult situation so I was very worried, but I thought the best thing to do was to cooperate as much as possible with the investigation."
Despite this, Hairmon said he took responsibility for all of his actions and said, "I have accepted the criticism from many people and will continue to fight even harder."
"I think this experience has made me realize what is truly important to me and what I need to protect in my life. I have a lot more I want to say, but I will continue to say it in the future," he said.
"I believe there will be an opportunity for us to speak to each other. I also apologize for causing fatigue with my personal matters during these tumultuous times."
Hairmon was fined 500,000 yen in October for allegedly smoking marijuana with Yu A In in the US (violating the Narcotics Control Law).
The court said, "The defendant admitted to all the crimes and actively cooperated with the investigation."
"We took into consideration that the marijuana was exchanged and smoked at the request of the individual, making it difficult to view this as habitual smoking."
