[Official] JooWon's ”Firefighter” ranks in the top 5 opening nights of this year's Korean films

The movie "Firefighter" made it into the top 5 in the opening week of this year's Korean movies. According to the Integrated Cinema Ticketing Network, the movie "Firefighter" had 81,673 viewers on the 4th, the first day of its release, and 1,000 viewers on the 5th.
The first half of the season saw an attendance of 82,308, then 112,028, followed by 218,614 on Saturday and 238,688 on Sunday, for a total of 744,188 viewers over the five days.
Usually, the number of moviegoers decreases on the day after and on Sunday after the release compared to the day before, but "Firefighter" showed an upward curve every day, demonstrating the extraordinary transformation of a huge hit.
In addition, the film never conceded its seat sales rate to the fiercely competitive Disney film "Moana 2," and despite being inferior in terms of seat numbers, it not only achieved an overwhelming seat sales rate, but also the highest advance ticket sales rate for all films.
The seat sales rate started at 19.5% on the first day of release, but by the fifth day of release, Sunday, the seat sales rate had reached an astounding 44%, filling nearly half of the total seats.
Thus, "Firefighter" launched the "119 Won Donation Challenge," where each ticket-paying viewer donated 119 won in cash to improve the equipment and working conditions of Korean firefighters.
The '119 Won Donation Challenge' allows people to donate to firefighters simply by watching 'Firefighter', and the donation amount will be used for the National Fire Hospital, which is scheduled to open in 2025.
The movie "Firefighters" depicts the firefighters who were deployed to the Hongje-dong fire disaster in 2001 with the sole goal of extinguishing the fire and rescuing everyone in the harsh conditions.
The film depicts the situation in which people live and is currently receiving rave reviews in Korea.
