Rep. Na said, "Up until now, the Democratic Party has neutralized national politics by impeaching ministers, the chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, the president of the Board of Audit and Inspection, and the chief prosecutor of the Central District Prosecutors' Office, but now it is acting indiscriminately.
"They are coercing and paralyzing national politics with indictments, special prosecutors, and impeachment," he said. "(The Democratic Party) is saying, 'We will indict and impeach Prime Minister Han Deok-soo and his cabinet members.'"
"This is a paralysis of national politics. Who will take responsibility for the threat to national security and the damage to the national economy that this will cause?" Rep. Na said, "The Democratic Party should hold early elections.
"Instead of concentrating solely on 'creating President Lee Jae-myung,' we should also work together to 'create a more mature, liberal democratic Korea.'"
He also said, "To that end, let us declare the end of the Constitution that has been in place for 87 years," and "Let us put an end to the imperial presidential system with a single five-year term. Let us also limit the unlimited and all-powerful power of the parliament."
He continued, "Only a constitutional reform of the power structure can prevent the recurrence of such an unfortunate national situation," and "It is not just best to hold the next presidential election as soon as possible.
Let's begin discussions on constitutional reform as soon as possible," he added.
