Japan's first cryptocurrency-backed credit card is set to be launched. On the 11th (local time), pop culture support company Slash Vision Labs
Slash Labs has signed an agreement with a Japanese credit card issuer to launch Japan's first cryptocurrency-backed credit card in 2025. Slash is incorporating Japanese intellectual property into Web3.
There are not many details about the Slash Card yet. The name of the Japanese issuing company has not been made public, but the announcement said that Slash
Slash noted that it is already working with SoftBank Payment and Visa partner LifeCard.
According to the Payment website, its current payment services are compatible with almost all cryptocurrencies and support 10 blockchains.
An incentive program for the Slash Card has also been devised. The company stated, "Through the launch of the Slash Card, Slash aims to make cryptocurrency payments more accessible and globally scalable."
"The initiative will provide a unique opportunity for cryptocurrency projects both domestically and internationally to interact with Japanese users through 'Pay-to-Earn airdrops' and other means."
The card, which will be launched in 2025, will be fully compliant with Japan's cryptocurrency and payment regulations.
