The Gwangju Archdiocese Justice and Peace Committee held a "Mass of the Times for Righteous Justice and Peace in the Republic of Korea" at 7 p.m. on the same day at Namdong Cathedral in Dong-gu, Gwangju, presided over by Archbishop Ok Hyun Jin.

"We have you, my fellow believers, to serve us. We need neither fear nor despair," he said. He continued, "The Church, which should be the light of this world, has a calling to dispel darkness."
"We are gathered here today to expedite President Yoon Seok-youl's imprisonment," he said.
