a16z cryptocurrency manager emerges as US CFTC chairman

The head of cryptocurrency at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has been appointed chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), one of the cryptocurrency regulatory agencies.
Brian Quintenz is being considered as a candidate. Bloomberg reported on the 12th (local time), citing sources familiar with the matter, that Quintenz is currently
Quintense reported that he had completed interviews for the position. If Quintense is nominated, he will be the second cryptocurrency-friendly chairman to serve on the CFTC, following the SEC chairman.
Current CFTC commissioners Summer Massinger and Caroline Farm are also reportedly under discussion as possible candidates.
Both members are people who are friendly towards cryptocurrencies.
