BTS' V's "Love Me Again" has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify.
V's solo album "Layover" record song "Love Me
"Again" reached 1 billion streams on Spotify, the world's largest streaming platform, on December 14th.
This brings "Love Me Again" to 1 billion streams, joining Spotify's "Billions Club."
"Me Again" is the first K-pop song to chart on the Spotify weekly chart for 70 consecutive weeks. It is also the first K-pop B-side to reach over 1 billion streams.
"Love Me" is a song that gives a rich feel to the R&B genre by adding gospel and jazz to the Seoul sound of the 1970s.
"Again" features V's rhythmic yet captivating vocals, giving the song a unique vibe that's hard to find in K-Pop.
American popular music media "Consequence of Sound" has selected "Love Me" as the top 10 in the "2023 K-POP Yearbook."
The media outlet chose "Again" as the "most surprising single." The reason for the selection was that "the song has a good balance of pop and R&B sounds and showcases his rich baritone voice."
The music video for "Love Me Again" became the first K-pop artist to reach number one on the UK Tidal Top Videos chart.
It also topped the iTunes Music Video, Apple Music Video K-Pop category, and YouTube Music Video charts.
V's first solo album "Layover," in which "Love Me Again" was recorded, is the first K-POP solo album to have all tracks released in S-rated format in just 258 days, the shortest period of time.
It has surpassed 100 million streaming on Spotify. In the United States, it is the first Asian solo album to sell more than 100,000 units of all songs.
This is the highest number of albums released since 2020. British music critic NME commented that "Layover" was "V's debut album.

He analyzed the film and praised it, saying, "It was worth the long wait."
