Mayor Hong said on Facebook that morning, "(President Yoon) is not just sitting back and letting things get the better of him like former President Park Geun-hye.
Mayor Hong wrote, "We must focus on strengthening the party (the ruling People Power Party) and resolving the impeachment political situation."
"We must not give up or waver like we did back then," he continued, "Would our people ever elect a criminal as president?" and "Let's do our best."
