SEVENTEEN‘ performed “Rockin” Around Christmas Tree’ on ABC's ‘Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade’ broadcast on 25 September (local time). Christmas Tree' performance.
SEVENTEEN took to the stage with the introduction ‘superstars who sold out stadium shows’ and sang carols against a backdrop of colourful lights and a tree, adding plenty of festive holiday cheer. Their clever vocals and hilarious interactions were in harmony with the dynamic band sound and drew cheers.
The performance was filmed in Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, USA, the largest theme park in the world. Before and during the performance, the members appeared on screen on the famous ‘Slinky Dog Dash’ roller coaster, which is a speciality here, adding to the enjoyment of watching the performance.
SEVENTEEN' appeared on the programme alongside famous artists such as Elton John, John Legend and Pentatonix, confirming their global status. They also made their first appearance as K-pop artists on ABC's ‘Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular’, which aired on 1 January, and made a strong impression on the local audience. Both programmes can be seen on Disney+ in Korea and the US.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN recorded record sales of nearly 10 million records this year (based on January-November) and proved their reputation as the ‘best K-pop group’ by attracting nearly 1.5 million people (online and offline combined) to their solo performances. They plan to hold the ‘SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN ASIA’ in stadiums in major Asian cities from January to February next year.
