Actor On Ju Wan participated in the memorial service for the Jeju Airlines passenger plane disaster. On the 1st, On Ju Wan said, "I had planned to announce the event on the 25th today, but on January 5th,
"I will make an announcement on January 4th," he announced on his Instagram story. He added, "I will take time until January 4th to truly mourn."
On Ju Wan also sent a New Year's greeting, saying, "Happy New Year 2025."
Prior to this, Jeju Air Flight 7C2216, which departed from Bangkok, Thailand, failed to deploy its landing gear during landing at Muan Airport at around 9:03 a.m. on December 29 last year.
The plane left the runway and caught fire immediately after it collided with the airport's outer wall. All 179 passengers, except for the two crew members, died. In response, the government designated the seven days from this day to the 4th as a national mourning period.
