Samsung and LG to release AI-equipped PCs one after another from the new year (Korea)

Samsung Electronics has been selling the laptop "Galaxy Book 5 Pro" since the new year. It is equipped with its own artificial intelligence (AI) "Galaxy AI" and can perform searches and document searches.
The product is based on the Intel Core Ultra Processor System, a neural processing unit (NPU) with a computing performance of 40 TOPS (40 trillion operations per second).
The new Galaxy Book is equipped with AI-powered AI Reader 2, which allows users to perform tasks using AI stably. The AI Select function, which allows users to quickly search for images and text, is the first of its kind in the Galaxy Book series.
On the other hand, LG Electronics has a "multi-AI" function that allows users to choose between two types of AI, on-device AI that runs on devices such as PCs and cloud-based AI, as needed.
The company will release the 2025 LG Gram, a new laptop, on the 7th. The company's on-device AI, Gram Chat on Device, will analyze your computer's usage history or saved files.
Based on the data, AI can perform calculations without linking to a network. Through the "time travel" function, the AI can remember and present data that was accidentally deleted during work.
Lee Yoon-seok, head of LG Electronics' IT business division, said, "With its multi-AI functions that provide a new AI experience, we are setting a new standard for AI-enabled PCs."
