Year-end awards ceremonies canceled by broadcasting stations due to ”mourning period”; schedule to be decided in January

The awards ceremonies of the three terrestrial broadcasting companies, which had postponed their events out of condolences for the Jeju Airlines disaster, have decided to schedule them in January.
MBC, which postponed all three awards ceremonies for acting, entertainment, and music, told Edaily on the 3rd
"The 2024 MBC Drama Awards will be broadcast on the 5th at 5:10 pm," the broadcaster said. The Drama Awards is pre-recorded on the 30th.
The nominees for the grand prize are Lee Han-i from "Flowers That Bloom in the Night," Kim Nam-ju from "Wonderful World," and Lee Hyun-soo from "Investigative Team Leader 1958."
- Je Hoon, Kim Hee Sun from "Our House", Byun Yo Han from "Death to Snow White - Black Out", and Han Suk Kyu from "So Close Traitor" were up for the award.
Regarding the scheduling of the "2024 MBC Entertainment Awards" and "2024 MBC Gayo Daejejeon," which were scheduled to be held on the 29th and 31st of last month, respectively, the company said, "No decision has been made yet."
However, it was reported that "Gayo Daejejeon" will be minimized and will focus on some pre-recorded stages. "Entertainment Awards" has not even been recorded.
KBS told Edaily, "The 2024 KBS Drama Awards will be broadcast on January 11th."
The KBS Drama Awards canceled its live broadcast on December 31 last year and held a pre-recording instead.
Kim Jong Hyun and Park Ji Yeon from "Family" and Kim Ha Nul from "Let's Grab Each Other by the Collar" were named.
The SBS Entertainment Awards is scheduled to air during this year's Lunar New Year holiday.
SBS said, "The 2024 SBS Entertainment Awards, which was scheduled to air on the 31st, will now be aired on the 29th."
However, since the event has not been pre-recorded, the message is that it will most likely be broadcast live on January 29th.
