”Harbin” tops the charts for 12 consecutive days...total audience numbers exceed 3.49 million

The film Harbin held the No. 1 position at the box office for 12 consecutive days.

On the 5th January, according to the Film Promotion Commission's Integrated Cinema Ticket Network, the film ranked No. 1 at the box office with 218,547 visitors on 4 days. It increased its total audience to 3,498,562.

The film depicts the stifling pursuit and suspicion of those who go to Harbin for one purpose and those who follow them in 1909. Actor Hyun Bin plays the role of Ahn Jung-geun, the righteous samurai, and the film is profoundly moving.

Harbin, which ranked No.1 at the box office upon its release on 24th last month, has remained at No.1 for 12 consecutive days and continues to be a hit. It received 1 million viewers on its second day of release, 2 million on its fifth day and over 3 million on its ninth day, faster than Seoul Spring, which drew 10 million viewers.

Following Harbin is Firefighters, which drew 55,119 people on that day. The total number of spectators reached 3,504,563.

In third place was ‘Bogota: Land of Last Chance’, which attracted 45,091 people on the 5th. The cumulative audience was totalled at 285,695.
