Park Seo Jun, the return of the romantic comedy king...cast in new JTBC TV series

The drama Waiting for Gyeong-do announced the return of the romantic comedy king by confirming the casting of actor Park So-joon.

JTBC's new drama ‘Waiting for Gyeong-do’ is a romantic comedy in which Lee Kyung-do and Seo Ji-woo, who broke up after 28 romances at the age of 20, meet again as the reporter who reported an affair scandal and the wife of the scandal's protagonist, and love each other sadly and deeply.

Park Seo-joon, who created the Park Se-roy syndrome with the drama Itaewon Class and earned the qualifiers ‘synonym for youth’ and ‘king of romantic comedies’, is attracting hot interest in his return to JTBC. For this reason, ‘Waiting for Gyeong-do’, which will be completed by the new synergy between Park So-joon and JTBC, is attracting high expectations.

In the play, Park So-joon takes on the role of Lee Kyung-do, a reporter in the entertainment department of Dong-eun Ilbo. Lee Kyung-do is a company employee with a human personality who is neither horny nor special. He has to live a life of constant worry when his first love's husband runs into his ex-girlfriend Seo Ji-woo, with whom he once had an ah-ha affair, thanks to the protagonist's infidelity scandal. Park Seo-joon's performance is eagerly awaited as he completes the noisy daily life of Lee Kyung-do, who faces an unexpected bomb.

Thus, ‘Waiting for Gyeong-do’ depicts the messy and disjointed history of a man's love life, in which he first met his former lover at the age of 20 in a drama club, and unexpectedly came face to face with him again after a series of heated love affairs and breakups.

Director Lim Hyun-wook, who formed a strong fandom with ‘King the Land’ and ‘Someone Like You’, and writer Yoo Yeon-ha, who showed her sensitive writing skills in films such as ‘Your Wedding’, the drama ‘39 Years Old’ and ‘Divorce Lawyer Shin Seong-han’, joined hands.
