HONG-KI will appear in the new Japanese-Korean romance variety show "Be My K
Guide: Japan-Korea Men and Women Edition" MC.
HONG-KI, who has a large fan base, will lead the show with his fluent Japanese. Other guests include Kenta, Hina and Yujung from "LIGHTSUM", and Yu, who has about 1 million followers.
YouTuber Yuka Channel (Yuka and Seung-chan married couple) also joined as panelists. "Be My K Guide: Japan-Korea Men and Women Edition" features four Japanese female tourists and four Korean men.
This is a new concept travel and romance reality show where guides meet and travel together to hot spots in Korea for 3 nights and 4 days to depict international romance. They travel in 2:2 groups in various places in Korea.
They go on dates, take one-on-one tours, get to know each other sometimes at fun bars, sometimes on quiet promenades, and search for love while experiencing misunderstandings due to cultural differences.
The main MC, Hong-ki, said, "Not only does he speak fluent Japanese, but he also understands the characteristics of both countries better than anyone else, so he can pick up on even the most subtle emotions of the performers and introduce Korea to them.
Kenta, a former member of Produce 101 who is active in both Japan and Korea, volunteered to be an emotional interpreter who understands the cultures of both countries.
Hina, a Japanese member of "LIGHTSUM" who was very active in the Latin TV program, is seen by Japanese women, and Yujeong, a Korean member, is seen by the local MZ generation (Millennials and Generation Z).
The candid reactions of the two Korean couples (those born in the 1980s and 2000s) were a teaser for the excitement. Yuka and Seung-chan of the Yuka Channel, a representative Japanese-Korean couple, have been going through their lives from love to marriage.
Based on his real-life experiences, MC Jin will talk about the differences in the romantic cultures of the two countries. "Even though Japanese and Korean cultures may seem similar, the feeling of love transcends borders," he said. "I'm going on a journey with the cast members.
The film will feature a variety of perspectives on young people in Japan and Korea, including Korean star HONG-KI, current idols, and Japanese-Korean couples.
The sweet journey of the two is a hot topic of anticipation. This romance game is full of tension until the very last day, and the question is whether they will fall in love or not.
The question is whether the excitement will last until the trip. "Be My K Guide: Japan-Korea Men and Women Edition" is a service provided by Remi, an OTT platform operated by NTT Docomo, Japan's largest mobile communications company.
It is scheduled to be released on January 24th on Lemino, Korea's WATCHA and Wavve.
