Ha Jung Woo of the movie ”Broken”: ”Intense and classic... I filmed it with the same feelings I had when I first appeared in a movie”

Actor Ha Jung Woo revealed why he decided to star in the movie "Broken" (director: Kim Jin Woo). On the morning of the 6th, at Lotte Cinema Kondaik in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul,
The production presentation for the movie "Broken" was held at the Konkuk University Entrance Store, and was attended by actors Ha Jung Woo, Kim Nam Gil, Yoo Da In, Jeong Man Sik, Im Sung Jae and director Kim Jin Woo.
"Broken" is a story about a brother who returns as The Body, his wife who disappeared, and a bestselling novel that predicted the incident, all of which are intertwined to reveal the truth of that night.
The story depicts the angry pursuit of an older brother who runs to the end to find the truth about the night his younger brother died. Ha Jung Woo plays the role of Min Tae, the older brother who pursues the culprit.
Ha Jung Woo said, "I was impressed by director Kim Jin Woo's previous work, 'The Shepherds,' and I am a big fan of Sanayi Pictures.
"I have a special relationship with the CEO of Star Trek, and we've worked together on various projects. I was offered this project at a time when I was looking for something intense and classic, so it was a perfect fit," he said.
Regarding the appeal of the film, he said, "The atmosphere on set led by Director Kim and the ensemble of actors were a perfect match, and it smelled like something burning. There was also a twist in the thriller.
Even though it does have action elements, I thought it was a very strange, TV-series-like film that really drew me in."
He continued, "The density and concentration of each scene that makes up the entire story.
It was a shoot where I felt like I was acting for the first time in a long time. So, even while discussing hair and makeup and costumes, I chose them very intuitively and instinctively.
Director Kim Jin Woo also talked about why he cast Ha Jung Woo. "I personally had a crush on Ha Jung Woo since I was a student at film school.
I had a strong desire to work with him, and I thought that we should definitely work together someday. So when I was planning and writing the script for "Broken," we started talking about casting, and that's when I met him.
"Broken" will be released in Korea on February 5th.
