President Yoon's side criticizes the investigation office... ”Illegality breeds lawlessness” = South Korea

South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol criticized the agency's decision to entrust the execution of warrants to the Agency for Investigation of Crimes by High-Ranking Public Officials, saying that "illegality is breeding illegality."
Yoon Kap-keun, a lawyer representing President Yoon, said on the 6th, “The ‘subcontracting’ of the investigation agency’s execution of warrants is just another illegal act.”
"The way they conduct their investigations without legal basis raises questions about their qualifications and capabilities as a national agency," said Yoon.
It only regulates the transfer of cases and requests for "transfer" (icho: sending documents to government offices with different jurisdictions) and the transfer of cases.
"There is no provision that allows an investigative agency to 'entrust' a part of the investigation to another agency, just like subcontracting out a part of the construction work," he explained.
"We cannot leave it to them."
Attorney Yoon said, "Even though he has no authority to direct the police,
"The police, who want to have independent investigative powers, are now 'acting at the behest of the Investigative Agency.'"
