According to the published data, the logistics industry index rose 0.3 points from the previous month to 53.1 in December 2024. The total logistics business volume index has increased for five consecutive months.
By industry, the increase in logistics demand was particularly notable in the electrical machinery, semiconductor, communication equipment, transportation equipment, and new energy vehicle manufacturing industries.
Demand for in-shopping is stable. The total business volume indexes for road transport, water transport and intermodal transport all increased from the previous month. The total business volume indexes for rail transport, air transport and postal delivery increased from the previous month.
The number of companies in the supply chain and industrial chain remained at a high level of 55 or more. Overall, in the second half of 2024, China will strengthen policy implementation and promote the release of demand and smooth circulation of the supply chain and industrial chain.
As a result, the total business volume index, inventory turnover index, capital turnover rate index, capacity utilization rate index, and employee index all maintained an upward trend.
A representative of the China Logistics Information Center said, "China's logistics industry economic index will remain stable throughout 2024.
"The overall logistics operation remained stable."
