Key (SHINee) prepares surprise party to celebrate his mother's retirement... ”I'm proud of my mother” = ”The happy life of a single man”

In the MBC variety programme ‘Happy Life of a Single Man’ (original title: I Live Alone), ‘SHINee’ Key prepares a surprise party to mark his mother's retirement ceremony. The programme will be broadcast on the 10th on MBC's ‘Single Man's Happy Life’ (original title: ‘I Live Alone’), and is expected to be a surprise party for his mother.

In MBC's ‘Happy Life of a Single Man’, which will be broadcast on the 10th January, Key will be shown preparing a surprise party for his mother's retirement ceremony.

Key reveals that he came to his family home in Daegu to share his mother's final retirement after 36 years of service. He says, "Today is a day for my mother" and prepares a surprise party. He decorated the house with gifts, balloons, placards and other items that he had custom-made to commemorate his retirement, thinking of his mother's happiness, which warmed the hearts of those watching.

On the other hand, Key heads to his mother's workplace with his hands full of gifts and flowers. He recalls memories of ‘following his mother to and from work as a child’ and arrives at the hospital, her first and last place of work.

His mother welcomes Key's arrival with delight and introduces her son to her colleagues. When he sees his mother's seat, Key says he expresses his feelings as ‘I'm proud of my mother’. Key also prepares gifts for the staff who worked with his mother, to which his mother smiles, saying that it was worthwhile raising her son.

After greeting people with her son, the mother goes to a meeting room with Key. Key is perplexed by the hectic atmosphere in the meeting room when she shows up. The photos released to the public show Key and his mother together at a ceremony to hand out sponsorship money to patients at a children's hospital, and have attracted a lot of attention.

The surprise party that ‘son’ Key prepared for his mother's retirement ceremony can be seen in ‘Happy Life of a Single Man’, which will be broadcast in Korea at 11:10pm on the 10th January.
