”I can't sing”...SHINee's Key staggers after stage...participates in ”SM Con” despite feeling unwell

Despite his poor condition, Key (SHINee) went on stage for SM Entertainment's (SM Entertainment) 30th anniversary concert.

　SMTOWN LIVE 2025 [THE CULTURE, THE FUTURE] in SEOUL’ was held on 11 and 12 September at the Ko Cheok Sky Dome in Seoul. This was a group concert to celebrate the 30th anniversary of SM Entertainment and a total of 98 artists took part.

　Key also took to the stage as a solo artist. On both days, he performed a collaborative stage of ‘Villain’ with boy group NCT DREAM's Geno, and after performing ‘Gasoline’, he and member Minho gave a short greeting to the audience.

　However, on the 12th, the last day of the concert, Key was caught wandering around after performing on stage through the online community, causing concern among fans. As soon as he left the darkened stage, he immediately sat down and was helped by Min-ho, and those who had watched the two-day concert were also concerned about his health, wondering if he was unwell, given his suddenly low tension.

　Key then failed to appear on stage when all the artists came out on stage to sing the closing song ‘HOPE’. To his fans concerned about his health, he told them via global fan communication platform Bubble before the ending, "Actually, I haven't been in good condition since yesterday, but I managed to endure it by taking medicine and tea. Today I was very sick and went to the hospital, but it was not type A flu, so it was just a symptom of a cold."

　He then said, "When I woke up in the morning, I couldn't speak, but I thought I would be fine in the evening, but I still couldn't make it to the “HOPE” stage today, so I tried to tell you how sorry I am", and expressed his disappointment at not being able to perform until the end.

　Key concluded by saying, "I'm really sorry and thank you so much to SHINee World (the name of the fans) who came to the scene and to SHINee World who are supporting me from afar. I will recover and come back soon" reassured the fans.

　SM Entertainment fans who watched the two-day performance sent messages of support and encouragement to Key, who revealed his poor condition, saying, "It's amazing how he made it through the stage to the end" and "I hope he gets well soon."
