On the 16th, South Korean prosecutors requested a sentence of seven years in prison for female BJ in A's alleged conspiracy case trial, which was held at the First Criminal Division of the Deputy Judicial Department of the House of Representatives (Head Judge Oh Chang-Seop) hearing.
A's defence counsel argued at the trial that "A admitted and regretted that he committed the offence to raise drug money because he lost the ability to make rational decisions due to his propofol addiction."
They added that he had not systematically approached and recorded Junsu, but had used some of the money for hospital expenses for his father's prostate cancer.
In his final statement, A said that he thought his life was over after grieving his parents over the incident, which was not a good one, but it was very painful to see his family visiting him every day, and that he was ashamed that he made an incorrect decision due to ignorance.
A is suspected of extorting money and goods worth 800 million won from Junsu from September 2020 to October last year, when it was revealed that A recorded a dialogue with Junsu and threatened to disseminate it on social networking sites.
Junsu's agency, PALMTREE ISLAND, said "As Junsu was concerned, the nature of the incident has been distorted and the situation has been caught up in unjust rumours. In response, Junsu and the company cannot hide their painful feelings and strongly request that the unjust accusations and secondary harm to Junsu, who is the clear victim of this incident, be stopped."
Meanwhile, A's sentencing hearing will take place on the 6th February.
