Actress Lee Yong-ae makes 2.5 billion won profit from buying a building 12 years ago

The building in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, which actress Lee Yong-ae purchased 12 years ago, is expected to fetch a sale profit of about 2.5 billion won (approximately 267.75 million yen).
According to a media report on the 19th, a brokerage firm official estimated the market value of the building Lee Yong-ae purchased in August 2012, based on a 155.2 m2 plot, at 3.6 billion won.
The profit is expected to be about 3.6 times the purchase price from a year ago. Lee Yong-ae sold a 150,000m2 exclusive house located on a back road near Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul in August 2012.
It was purchased for 400 million won. It is estimated that the owner borrowed more than 500 million won, nearly half of the property price. In the past, the building was used as Lee Yong's entertainment agency.
However, it was reported that its use was changed to a neighborhood living facility in 2018. Currently, Itaewon-ro has been transformed into a high-end commercial area, and a cafe has opened there.
