It was reported on the 19th (local time) that the amount of liquidation in the cryptocurrency market exceeded $1 billion in the past day. This is because Bitcoin, after approaching its all-time high, once again fell below $100,000.
According to data from CoinGlass, a total of $1.18 billion was raised by approximately 406,000 traders in the 24 hours that day.
Of this, approximately $921 million (approximately 143.8 billion yen) was the liquidation of long positions and $260 million (approximately 40.6 billion yen) was the liquidation of short positions.
Ethereum (ETH) had the largest liquidation of long positions, with over $207.5 million liquidated during the day, followed by Bitcoin (BTC).
TC) long positions were liquidated for more than $202 million (approximately 31.5 billion yen). Bitcoin fell by less than 6% from its daily high of $106,300 on January 19 to about $99,700.
The move is similar to the market crash on Jan. 7, when Bitcoin fell to similar levels within a few hours and bottomed out at around $90,000 on Jan. 13.
Cryptocurrency trader Bluntz said he was seeing “top-point signals here and there” through X, and that “right now we’re just realizing some of the profits.”
"I think it's prudent to do that," he said. The altcoin market also showed a downward trend, with Ethereum falling more than 5% to an intraday low of $3,150. However, Ethereum has not changed much in the past month.
It is still holding in a box range and is not keeping up with Bitcoin's recent movements.
Meanwhile, XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano, Avalanche
