Seoul metropolitan area subway fare hike likely in the first half of this year = South Korea

The cities of Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Incheon in South Korea, along with the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), have announced that they will raise subway fares in the metropolitan area by 150 won (approximately 16 yen).
The price hike is reportedly planned for the first half of this year. According to Seoul City on the 21st, the three metropolitan government offices and the Korea Railroad Corporation agreed on the subway fare hike at a meeting on the 2nd of this month.
The city government agreed to raise the bus fare from 1,400 won (about 151 yen) to 1,550 won (about 167 yen) from August 12, 2023. The city government will raise the bus fare in Seoul to 300 won (about 150 yen) by card from August 12, 2023.
(approximately 32 yen, from 1,200 won to 1,500 won), and on October 7th of the same year, the basic subway fare was raised to 150 won (from 1,250 won to 1,400 won).
At the time, Seoul City announced that it would raise subway fares in two stages, postponing the additional 150 won increase until 2024.
No actual price increase took place.
