Vivek Ramaswami to run for Ohio governor without joining the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
Entrepreneur and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has been digging into the Trump administration's efforts to streamline government as he prepares to run for governor of Ohio.

"Vivek Ramaswamy played a key role in the creation of DOGE," DOGE spokeswoman Anna Kelly told The Associated Press.
He plans to run for elected office soon and, under the structure announced today, would have to leave DOGE.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine's second and legally final term ends in January 2027.
